  In 1861, at General Grant's Headquarters, Edmund mentions his idea for greenbacks. [documented ]  
  A letter from President Abraham Lincoln in December of 1864, named Colonel Edmund Dick Taylor the 'father of the greenback', this hand  
  written letter was verified and documented: February 10, 1888 by the 50th United States Congress.
